It All Started With KEDA

KEDA, the Kubernetes Event-Driven Autoscaler, became one of the most adopted open-source autoscaling projects in the ecosystem. Zbynek Roubalik, who co- created KEDA while at Red Hat, watched it scale thousands of applications around the world.

Enterprises Needed More

As adoption accelerated, enterprise teams needed more:

  • Real-time observability
  • Multi-cluster support
  • GPU and HTTP autoscaling
  • Enterprise security and SLAs

These weren’t gaps, they were signals. Teams needed a way to build on KEDA without replacing it.

Kedify is Born

When Open Core Ventures (founded by GitLab’s Sid Sijbrandij) reached out to Zbynek, the timing aligned. He didn’t want to leave KEDA behind. He wanted to extend its impact.

He partnered with Jeff Fernandez, a SaaS founder with deep go-to-market experience. Together, they launched Kedify: a commercial autoscaling platform built to enhance KEDA for production teams.

Zbynek led product and engineering. Jeff led customer development and growth. Their partnership turned infrastructure insight into enterprise execution.

Where We’re Going

Investing in the Future of Autoscaling

We’re building:

  • GPU autoscaling for AI and inference-heavy workloads
  • Deeper telemetry and real-time cost visibility for platform teams
  • Tighter marketplace integrations across AWS, GCP, and Red Hat

We continue to invest in simplicity, predictability, and performance, so teams can focus on building, not babysitting infrastructure.
